Obituary of Jean L. Thompson
Mrs. Jean L. Thompson, 82, passed away at 2:20 PM on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at the Titusville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She had been a resident there for the past 2 years.
Mrs. Thompson was born on September 23, 1935, in Philipsburg to the late John and Irene Pearson Slother.
She was a graduate of Titusville High School.
Jean was a Pennsylvania notary in Cambridge Springs from 1971 to 1983, and for a year in Titusville. She also was an independent truck driver with her husband for several years.
She was a member of the PNA and loved to play bingo.
Jean is survived by 3 children, Thomas Gilson and wife Theresa of Leesville, LA, Susan Obert and husband Frank of Titusville, Ronnie Thompson and wife Robin of Titusville; a son-in-law, Edward Wakefield of Titusville; 11 grandchildren, Zachary Thompson, Ian Thompson, Abigail Thompson, Thomas Gilson, Shana Toups, Shelby Cryer, Buckly Obert, Jacob Obert, April Elslager, Amanda Obert, Everett Wakefield; 3 sisters, and a brother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence L. “Bud” Thompson on November 3, 2012; a daughter, Penny Wakefield; a grandson, Timothy Wakefield; and a brother.
No services are being observed.
