Obituary of Roger A. Miller

Mr. Roger A. “Chip” Miller, Sr., 71, of 13356 Spring Creek Rd., Titusville passed away Friday, December 14, 2017, at his residence.

            Mr. Miller was born on May 15, 1946, in Titusville to the late Jacob and Dorothy Daris Miller. He married Karen Foster on March 5, 1966, at the Wallaceville United Methodist Church.

            He was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1964.

            Roger was formerly employed by GTE Sylvania where he met his lovely wife Karen. He retired from Cytemp Specialty Steel Corp. after working 30 years in the cut-off department. After retiring from Cytemp, Chip opened and operated Sloandale Arms Ammo & Accessories for the past 25 years.

            He attended the Henderson Chapel in Titusville.

            Roger was a member of the NRA and the Second Amendment Foundation.

            He enjoyed doing woodworking crafts with his wife Karen and the 2 of them did extensive traveling throughout the United States with her sister and brother-in-law. He loved the outdoors hunting, fishing, and trap shooting. He also coached youth baseball for eight years.

            Chip is survived by his wife Karen of Titusville; a son, Roger A. Miller, Jr. and wife Lisa of Titusville; 4 grandchildren, Alison Miller, Adalynn Miller, Hatch Miller, Asher Miller all of Titusville; a great-grandson, Brandon Hunter Carson of Titusville; a brother, Robert Miller and wife Helen of New Castle, and several nieces and nephews.     

            Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, PA 16354 on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and attend the funeral service from the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Terri Warner, of the Henderson Chapel, officiating.

            Interment will be in Jamison Corners Cemetery.
