Obituary of Mary Ann Lukach
Mary Ann Lukach, 78, of Centerville, passed away Thursday evening January 18, 2018 at her home.
Mary Ann was born on Dec. 6, 1939 at Monessen, PA, a daughter of the late John and Mary Lukatch Kolvek. She was married to Peter “Pete” Lukach on June 25, 1960 at Monessen. He preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 2005.
She was a graduate of Monessen High School.
Mary Ann was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church at Mageetown. She was an avid reader, especially enjoying Agatha Christie novels. She enjoyed listening to classical music; was an amazing cook, baker, and gardener; and had great joy spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by the following children; John D. Lukach and wife Jill of Endicott, NY, Sharon Vroman and husband Chuck, and Peter Lukach III, all of Centerville, Mary Rodgers and husband Kenneth of Mineral, VA, Paul A. Lukach and husband Charles Scalise of Erie, Michael Lukach and Matthew Lukach, both of Centerville; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Kolvek of Centerville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles W. Lukach; and two brothers, John and Andrew Kolvek.
Friends may call at the Hennes-Garrett Funeral Home 203 E. Main Street Titusville on Sunday from 4 to 7 PM. Additional visitation will be held on Monday at Immaculate Conception Church from 10 to 11 AM at which time a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Fr. Walter E. Packard and Fr. Michael DeMartinis, as celebrants.
Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery at Mageetown.
