Obituary of Thomas Gerard Brenner

Mr. Thomas Gerard Brenner, 87, of Brenner Rd., Titusville passed away at 2:39 AM on Sunday, January 28, 2018, at the Titusville Area Hospital shortly after his arrival.

            Mr. Brenner was born on February 4, 1930, in Clairton to the late James F. and Alice Elizabeth Coffman Brenner. He married Carol Ann Booth on November 10, 1956, in Meadville.

            He was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1948.

            Mr. Brenner was a veteran of the US Army for 2 years and the US Navy for 4 years.

            He was employed as a welder with the former Struthers Wells Corporation and Cytemp Specialty Steel Corporations in Titusville until his retirement in 1992. He also had a beef and dairy farm that he owned and operated for many years.

            Mr. Brenner was a member of the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW and a member of the former Titusville Eagles Club.

            He especially loved helping his family and friends.

            Mr. Brenner is survived by his wife Carol Ann Brenner of Titusville; 4 children, Thomas “Jeff” Brenner of Titusville, Kathleen Firster and husband Sam of Titusville, Eric Brenner and wife Kellie Price-Brenner of Titusville, Aaron Brenner and wife Andrea of Warren; 7 grandchildren, Brandon Firster and wife Abigail of Titusville, Sonia Neu and husband Ken of Meadville, Francis Brenner of Centerville, Stephan Brenner of Titusville, Shavonne Orr and husband Jon of Centerville, Allison Gentry and husband David of Ashtabula, OH, Austin Brenner of Warren; a great granddaughter, Sierra Lynn Orr; and a niece, Ramona DeAngelo of FL.

            He was preceded in death by a brother, James Brenner Jr., and a sister, Alice DeAngelo.

            Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, PA 16354 on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Glen Van Cise pastor of the Chapmanville Community Church, officiating.
