Obituary of Larry Raymond Ward

Mr. Larry Raymond Ward, 73, of Titusville, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018, at his residence.

He was born in Titusville on June 14, 1944 to the late Lawrence and Bertha Archer Ward.

Larry graduated from Titusville High School.

He was a veteran of the United States National Guard and US Army Reserves.

Larry married Judy Ann Whitmer on October 23, 1963 in Reidsville, NC.

He previously worked for American Viscose in Meadville for twenty years, and then retired from Grand Valley Manufacturing in 1999.

Larry was loved feeding and watching the birds around his house.  He enjoyed woodworking, going to auctions, going for walks, and watching car shows.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-four years, Judy Ward of Titusville; two daughters, Raeann Ward of Titusville, and Brenda McGarvie and husband Richard of Moncks Corner, SC; a son, Larry Ward and wife Michele of Titusville; eight grandchildren, Andrew Ward and wife Ally, Alicia Wishnok and husband Joe, Ryan Ward and wife Katelyn, Barry Baker, Brittany Adams and husband Chase, Matthew Ward, David McGarvie and Justin McGarvie; six great grandchildren; and a brother, Roy Ward and wife Louise of Titusville.

               Larry was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Janie Marie Ward; and two sisters, Delores Snyder and Mary McWilliams.

               Friends and family may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, PA, 16354, on Wednesday, January 31, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM.  The funeral service will be held there on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 1 PM with Pastor Phil Taylor officiating.

               Interment will be in Diamond Cemetery.
