Obituary of Mae Marie Rybka

Mae M. Rybka, 89, of Pleasantville, passed away on March 14, 2018 at the Titusville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

               She was born in Oil City, on November 22, 1928 to the late Willard “Bill” and Ann Thompson Irwin.

               Mae married John C. Rybka on August 29, 1951 at St. Walburga Church.  He preceded her in death on June 5, 1994.

               She worked at “The Skillet” for over twenty-five years.

               Mae enjoyed candle making, going to bingo and playing the slots, gardening and her flowers, watching the Pirates, and the fall road side pumpkin and cider stand.

               She is survived by two daughters, Kim Zimmerman and Jody Lavery and husband Mark; a son, John Rybka all of Pleasantville; five grandchildren, Danielle Zimmerman of Titusville, Kyle Zimmerman and wife Kari of Edinboro, Samantha Lewis and husband Jeff of Titusville, Shannon Lavery of Pleasantville, and Brittany Clauner of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews.

               She was preceded in death by five siblings, Lewis, Luther, and Leslie Irwin, Dorothy Vincent, and Margaret Hoatling.

               Friends and family may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, PA 16354 on Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.  The funeral service will be held there on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 1 PM, with Father Walter E. Packard officiating, pastor of St. Titus Church.

               Inurnment will be in St. Catharines Cemetery.
