Obituary of Connie L Kantor

Connie L. Kantor, 85, formerly of Titusville, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, SC.

            Connie was born on Dec. 11, 1932 at Sebring, FL, a daughter of the late Thomas and Pauline Pollard Cason.  She was married to John S. Kantor, Sr. on July 12, 1952 at Biloxi, Mississippi.  He preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 2001.

            Connie was a graduate of Sebring High School, class of 1951. 

            Connie was a veteran having served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict.  She entered the service on Oct. 15, 1951 at Tampa, FL and was honorably discharged on Nov. 1, 1952 at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi.

            Connie had served as the local director of the American Red Cross in Titusville for over 16 years.

            Connie was a member of St. Walburga Church and of the Rosary Society of the church.  She was also a member of the Catholic Daughter of the Americas.  She enjoyed cooking, sewing, needlepoint, gardening, and doing crafts. She also enjoyed watching the hummingbirds that came around her feeder.

            Anyone that had the pleasure of meeting Connie, knows she became a part of your life and did anything she could to make it a better life for all involved.

            She is survived by two sons, John S. “Steve” Kantor, Jr. and wife Sally of Hydetown and Thomas Kantor and partner Alex Seymour of Lexington, SC; three daughters, Theresa Cherry and husband David of Titusville, Patricia Proper and husband Jeff of Chapmanville, and Marie House and husband Kenneth of Connellsville, PA; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister, Alynee Cartwright and husband Donald of Bartow, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

            In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Joseph and Michael Kantor; a daughter, Sandra Kantor; and a brother, Thomas Cason.

            Friends may attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 1:00 PM at St. Walburga Church with Fr. Walter E. Packard as celebrant.

            Interment will be in St. Walburga Cemetery.

            The family asks that memorials be made to the United Way 208 W. Spring St. Titusville, PA 16354 or to any chapter of the American Red Cross.
