Obituary of Lillian Fay Lorenz
Lillian Fay Lorenz, 90, of Titusville, passed away Sunday evening April 8, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie.
Fay was born on April 15, 1927 at Akron, OH, a daughter of the late James and Hattie Holbert Kysor. She was married to Joseph Paul Kunick who preceded her in death on March 1, 1968. She later married Joseph Mac Lorenz on Aug. 30, 1969. He preceded her in death on Dec. 20, 2013.
Fay had attended the Spartansburg schools.
She was a member of the Centerville Baptist Church; the VFW Ladies Auxiliary; the Centerville American Baptist Women; the Titusville Senior Center; and was a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, and was presented with the volunteer of the year award in 2014 She enjoyed writing poetry and previously won an award for her entry in the senior citizens poetry contest. She was also a collector of hats and she enjoyed wearing them.
Fay was a representative for Stanley Home Products for over 50 years.
She is survived by the following children; Kate Preston and husband Jack of Centerville, Terry Kunick and wife Marilyn of Wales Center, NY, Jean Roberts and husband Jeff of Titusville, Calvin Kunick and wife Nancy of Centerville, and April Harger of Titusville; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers, Thomas H. Kysor of Canadohta Lake and John Henry Kysor of Titusville; a sister, Patsy Nichols of Corry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Fay was preceded in death by two sons, John Kunick and infant William Kunick; and three brothers, Malcolm, Darrell, and James Kysor, Jr.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, PA 16354 on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the Centerville Baptist Church, 18736 Erie St., Centerville, PA 16404, on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 11 AM.
Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family asks that memorials be made to the Centerville Baptist Church or the Titusville Senior Center.
