Obituary of Patrick J McMunn
Patrick J. McMunn, 71, of Spring Hill, FL, formerly of Titusville, passed away on April 10, 2018 at Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL, after a brief illness.
Pat was born on November 15, 1946 at the Titusville Hospital; a son of the late Daniel L. and Bertha Jackson McMunn.
He was married to Marlene Barker on July 13, 1968 in Titusville.
Pat was a 1965 graduate of Titusville High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving from 1965 to 1968. He was a resident of Florida since 1968.
Pat was self-employed and was a hard worker. He and his wife owned and operated several businesses in the construction industry along with a building supply company.
He was an awesome husband, father and grandfather and spoiled his children and grandchildren in a loving way. He had a big heart. There isn’t a person who crossed his path that he didn’t help in some way.
He had his private pilot’s license and enjoyed flying his plane, making several trips back to Titusville. He enjoyed spending time in Pennsylvania hunting and feeding the masses at hunting camp. He enjoyed pickin’ and grinnin’ and was a member of the Soggy Bottom Bluegrass Bunch. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Hudson, FL.
Pat is survived by his wife, Marlene of Spring Hill, FL; three children, Dore Nedrow and husband Roger of Dunnellon, FL, Patrick J. McMunn Jr. and wife Jen of Weeki Wachee, FL, Kelly Ricard and husband Alex of Spring Hill, FL. Seven grandchildren; Cheyenne and Landon McMunn, Cole Scavelli, Ty and Zak Ricard, Carl and Jordyn Nedrow; two brothers, Ken Bierce of Jefferson City, TN, and Daniel McMunn and wife Kathleen of Titusville. Brothers-in-law, Ron Barker and wife Millie of FL, Vernon Barker and wife Florence, and Chet Barker and wife Mary of Titusville; sisters-in-law, Barbara Barker of VA and Linda McMunn of TN; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Jane Bierce Stokes and Cathy McMunn Hayden; and a brother, Thomas McMunn.
Friends and family may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, PA 16354 on Friday, April 20, 2018 from noon to 2 PM, with the funeral service to follow, officiated by Rev. Canon Martha Ishman.
Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Full military rights will be observed.
