Obituary of Rev. Terry R Bidwell

               

Rev. Terry Raymond Bidwell, 66 years old, of 510 North Martin St. Titusville, PA was suddenly taken home to be with the lord via an automobile accident on Friday evening April 20, 2018.

               Rev. Bidwell was born to the late Leonard and Mary (Banta) Bidwell on August 20, 1951, in Titusville, PA. Terry grew up in the Centerville area on Buells Corners road.

                Terry attended Titusville Area School district and graduated in 1970. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. During his service, he was placed in Vietnam, Cuba, and Okinawa.

               He married Diane (Shoemaker) daughter of Harold and Marie Shoemaker on October 28, 1972. They then had 3 children; Teresa & Greg Butterfuss, Tammy & Spencer Steffy, and Timothy Bidwell of Titusville, PA. Rev. Terry Bidwell had 7 grandchildren; Shannon, Bonnette, Shane, Brenden Terry, Simon Terry, and Sidney Steffy all of Titusville, PA and Carrie Butterfuss.

               His surviving siblings are; Maria Harvey, Rev. Larry and Joyce Bidwell, Randy and Bonnie Bidwell, Julie and Rev. Doug Wolfrath, and sister-in-law Molly Bidwell.

               Rev.Terry Bidwell graduated from Long Island Bible College in 1980. He then planted a new church, the Union City Assembly of God where he served for 20 years. Terry then became pastor at the First Assembly of God in Titusville on Nov. 21, 1999, where he continued pastoring till his passing.

               Rev. Terry Bidwell loved the lord with all his heart and his family was his main priority after Jesus.

                He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Mary Bidwell, Father-in-law Harold Shoemaker, Brothers Gail and Francis Bidwell, Son-in-law Brian Steffy, 2 grandchildren, several Aunts, uncles, and cousins.

               Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, PA 16354 on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Further visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church 216 N. Franklin St., Titusville, PA with the service to follow conducted by his brother, Rev. Larry Bidwell.

               Interment will be in Riceville Cemetery with full military honors observed.
