Obituary of Franklin D. Rosenberg
Franklin D. “Tom” Rosenberg, 76, of 13394 Park West Titusville, died Monday morning March 28, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Titusville where he had been a resident for the past two years.
Tom was born on Nov. 28, 1934 in Titusville, a son of the late Emmett and Hazel Thomas Rosenberg. He was married to Cora Gifford on Nov. 14, 1968 in Titusville.
Tom had worked for many years at Taylor Ramsey Corp. as a lumber handler until his retirement. He had also been employed at Fisher and Young Lumber.
Tom was a member of Faith Temple Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his children. In his earlier years, he had worked on several farms.
Tom is survived by his wife of Titusville; two sons, David John Rosenberg of Grand Valley and Michael B. Rosenberg and wife Allison of Georgia; step-children, Lisa Jackson of Thomasville, PA, Brian Jackson and wife Brandy of Seneca, and Joe Jackson and wife Julie of Titusville; two grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; two brothers, Emmett Rosenberg, Jr. of Saegertown and William Rosenberg and wife Emma Jean of Youngsville; four sisters, Shirley Cotterman and husband Frank of Tidioute, Mary Lou Cyranowski and husband Bob of Northeast, Betty and Barbara Rosenberg, both of Saegertown; a sister-in-law, Kate Rosenberg of Cooperstown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Darla Jackson; two step-grandsons, Benu and Allen McKinney; and a brother, James E. Rosenberg.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Thursday from 2 to 3 PM at which time the funeral service will be conducted with Rev. Ronald Spencer of Faith Temple Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Neilltown Cemetery.
