Obituary of David L. Mitcham, Sr.

David L. Mitcham, Sr., 52, of Tidioute, passed away Saturday May 26, 2018 at UPMC Hamot in Erie.

            David was born on June 17, 1965 at Columbus, OH, a son of Donald Mitcham, Sr. and Ruth Cummins Humphrey.  He was married to Bonnie Cleland who survives.

            David was a graduate of Maplewood High School, class of 1983.  He had been employed as a mechanic at West End Auto and formerly employed at Mitcham’s Garage at Lincolnville.

            David enjoyed fishing; spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren doing outdoor activities; as well as enjoying time with his many friends.

            David is survived by his wife of Tidioute; his mother and step-father, Ruth and Jerry Humphrey of Columbus, OH; his father and step-mother, Donald and Clara Mitcham of Cochranton; three children, David Mitcham and wife Tiffany of Dempseytown, Ashley Carter and husband Stephen of Franklin, and Nathaniel Mitcham of Tidioute; four grandchildren, Kamdin and Kinslee Mitcham, and Rosalie and Stephen Carter III; two brothers, Donald Mitcham, Jr. and wife Karen, and Daniel Mitcham, all of Columbus, OH; two sisters, Debra Copen and husband David, and Diana Cline and husband Steven, all of Columbus, OH; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

            Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Tuesday from 7 to 9 PM.  The family will also receive friends on Wednesday morning from 10 to 11 AM at the First United Methodist Church 302 W. Walnut St. Titusville, at which time the funeral service will be conducted with Chip Cleland, father-in-law of David, officiating.

            Interment will be in Troy Center Cemetery.

            The family asks that memorial contributions be made to CORE 204 Sigma Drive Pittsburgh, PA 15238.
