Obituary of Joyce Anderson

Joyce E. Muir Anderson, 70, formerly of Spartansburg passed away at 9:20 PM on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at the Corry Manor.

Joyce was born on December 10, 1947, in Titusville to the late Harold and Elizabeth Nichols Muir.

She was a graduate of Titusville schools and the culinary institute in Washington D.C.

Joyce enjoyed sewing, baking, cake decorating, playing solitaire and collecting dolls.  She especially loved helping her friends.

Joyce is survived by her 4 children, Annette Buell of Canadohta Lake, Jim Anderson Jr. and wife Angela of Blanchard, PA, Bessie Holtzman of Christiansburg, VA, Mike Anderson and wife Keri of Spartansburg; 9 grandchildren, Shannon McGonigle and husband John of Lewistown, Shane Buell of Union City, Bret Anderson and wife Rachael of Central City, Nicki Stigers and husband Austin of Jacksonville, NC, Amanda Holtzman of Salem, VA, Adam and Nathan Holtzman of Christiansburg, VA, Elizabeth Holtzman and fiancĂ© John Wingo of Christiansburg, VA, Karissa Anderson of Spartansburg; 7 great grandchildren, Colson McGonigle, Destiny Martin, Shay Stigers, Caroline Anderson, Maelynn and Keene Williams, Paul Altize;  a brother, Wes Muir and wife Kim of Statesville, NC; a sister, Naomi Thompson of Lakeland, FL; her former husband, Jim Anderson, Sr., of Centerville; a former son-in-law, Patrick Holtzman of Christiansburg, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, David and Dennis Muir.

Friends may call at the Grace Fellowship Church 2 McKinney Rd., Titusville, Pa 16354 on Wednesday from 10:00 to 12:00 with the funeral service to follow conducted by Pastor Phil Taylor.

Interment will be in Covenanter Cemetery.
