Obituary of Catherine L. Locke

Mrs. Catherine L. “Kay” Locke, 86 of Union Cemetery Rd., Titusville passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Erie.

            Mrs. Locke was born on January 22, 1932, in Pittsburgh to the late James B. and Emma Erk Lafferty. She married Edward J. Locke on May 18, 1957, at the First Presbyterian Church in Tionesta. Mr. Locke preceded her in death on July 7, 2007.

            She was a graduate of Avonworth High School in Ben Avon, class of 1950.

            Kay was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Titusville where she also served as a Deacon and a member of the Titusville Area Hospital Auxiliary.

            She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cooking.

            Kay is survived by 2 daughters, Elizabeth Winterhalter and husband Steven of Pittsburgh, Catherine Rosenberg and husband Mark of Marlton, NJ; 4 grandchildren, Rachel Schwartz and husband David of Philadelphia, Aaron Rosenberg of Marlton, NJ, Christopher Winterhalter and Shannon Winterhalter of Pittsburgh; and a great grandchild, Elisheva Schwartz of Philadelphia.

            Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, PA 16354 on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM with a service to follow conducted by Thomas Newcombe of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating.

            Memorial contributions may be made to Titusville Area Hospital Auxiliary 406 W. Oak St., Titusville, PA 16354 or to National Breast Cancer Awareness.

            Interment will be in Union Cemetery.
