Obituary of Janet Marie Hillard

Janet Marie Hillard, 74, of Titusville, passed away Wednesday morning July 25, 2018 at home.

            Janet was born on Feb.12, 1944 at Robinson, IL, a daughter of the late Joseph and Orpha Pauline Darnold York.  She was a graduate of Oblong High School, class of 1962, Oblong, IL.

            Janet was married to John S. Hillard on Sept. 8, 1963 at Robinson, IL.  He preceded her in death on June 26, 1994.

            She was a member of the Pleasantville Free Methodist Church.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She also liked spending time with her friends and helping them with errands.

            Janet is survived by a son, John “Scott” Hillard, Jr. and wife Cindy of Greenville; three daughters, Marie Barker and husband Jay of Titusville, Marsha Crawford and husband Howard of Pleasantville, and Savalla Yeager of Oil City;  grandchildren, Madison and Garrett Hillard of Greenville, Angela Saxton,Selena Barker, Marisa Barker and fiancée Thomas Mobilia, all of Titusville, Yvonne English and husband Jeff of Albion, Sandra and Sabrina Crawford of Pleasantville, Abbigail, Seth, and Daniel Yeager of Oil City; great grandchildren, Brooke and Derik Garza, Cameron Nelson, and Taylor English; a brother, Darrell Pointe and wife Linda of Texas; an aunt, Aline Huddleson of Mahomet, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

            In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl York, Emerson York and David Pointe; a sister, Mary Wilkie; and a special aunt and uncle, Marlene and Clyde Kingery.

            Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM at which time the funeral service will be conducted with Rev. Chuck Riel of the Pleasantville Free Methodist Church, officiating.

            Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
