Jane Carter

Obituary of Jane B. Carter

Mrs. Jane B. Carter, 97, of Titusville, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 7:09 AM at the Titusville Healthcare and Rehab Center after a brief illness.

Jane was born on November 4, 1920 in New Kensington to the late Charles D. and Nelle Toney Beacon. She married Robert P. “Bob” Carter on June 29, 1946 in New Kensington. He preceded her in death on October 27, 1996.

She was a graduate of New Kensington High School, class of 1938. She attended Indiana State Teachers College and graduated with a degree in Art Education.

Jane attended the Titusville Branch Fellowship Church and was regularly involved in ministry until the time of her illness.

She never seemed to think of her own needs or comfort. She was generous on every occasion. An entire congregation has had their living room furniture reupholstered by this master seamstress.

She was much loved by all the girls at the Livingroom Group and the entire Branch Church body. Jane taught all to be 'instant in prayer'. And she imparted both Godly and practical wisdom to young and old.

While we mourn her absence, we heartily rejoice in her promotion, celebrating a life on earth that was lived fully with passion and tenacity.

Jane is survived by her two daughters, Marjorie Wilder and husband Samuel of Monroville, and Marian Zanot and husband Thomas of Port Charlotte, FL; two granddaughters Lisa Payne, and Michelle Payne Comunale and husband Anthony; great grandchildren Casaundra Payne Williams and husband Sheldon Williams II, Julian Payne, and Nyajah Bradley; three great great grandchildren Sheldon Williams III, Roman Williams, and Laila Payne

She was preceded in death by her brother, Benjamin C. Beacon.

No public calling hours will be observed.

Family and friends may attend a memorial service on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 11 AM at the Titusville Branch Fellowship Church 224 W. Spruce St. Titusville, with pastor Troy Funte, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Love INC, P.O. Box 132, Titusville, PA, 16354.
