Obituary of Karen E. Ohl

Karen E. Ohl, 65, of Titusville, passed away Tuesday evening September 4, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie.

            Karen was born on May 24, 1953 in Oil City, PA, a daughter of the late Wearne and Mary Slater Cook.  She was married to Joseph R. Ohl on June 17, 1972 in Titusville.

            Karen was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1971.

            Karen enjoyed doing puzzles, going to flea markets, having yard sales, and playing board games and cards.  She loved spending time with her family and also with her pet dog “Short Round”.

            Karen is survived by her husband Joe of Titusville; a brother, Dale Cook and wife Susan of Townville; four sisters, Mary Jane Dittman of St. Petersburg, PA, Anna Rodgers and husband Steve of Titusville, Esther Seeley of Meadville, and Ethel Macormac and husband Robert of Titusville; sisters-in-law, Pearl Cook of Cooperstown and Deb Cook of Silver Creek, NY; and numerous nieces and nephews.

            In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Wearne Cook, Jr. and Carl Cook; and a sister, Laura McCauley.

            No public calling hours will be observed.

            Family and friends may attend a memorial service at 11:00 AM Monday, September 10, 2018 at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville with Rev. Leroy Learn of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church officiating.

            Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery in Oil City.

            The family asks that memorials be made to the charity of one’s choice.
