Obituary of Lester "Brad" Nunemaker

Lester “Brad” Nunemaker, 57, of Centerville, passed away Tuesday afternoon September 11, 2018 at his residence following a brief illness.

            Brad was born on Nov. 10, 1960 at Union City, PA, a son of the late Lester Nunemaker and Margaret Henton. 

            Brad had attended schools in Union City and Cambridge Springs.  He had been employed at Lakeland Sand and Gravel in Conneaut Lake as a machine operator.  He had previously been employed by Hasbrouck Sand and Gravel, Wroblewski Sand and Gravel in Wattsburg, and Ralph Hunter, Inc. in Guys Mills.

            Brad enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, but most enjoyed spending time with his family.

            He is survived by his fiancée, Mary Hicks of Centerville; a daughter, Darcy King and husband Andy of Meadville; a son, Calvin Nunemaker of Centerville;  Justin Cooper of Washington, PA whom he considered a son; three step children, Michael Hicks of Centerville, Jennifer Erickson and husband Eric of Titusville, and Stephanie Drusko and husband Chris of Conneaut Lake; eight step grandchildren;  two brothers, Rexford Nunemaker and wife Dawnell of Townville, and Daryl Nunemaker and wife Penny of Corry; four sisters, Elizabeth Hill and husband Charles of Garland, TX, Deborah Lyons and husband Lynn, and Valerie Owen, both of Union City, and Melody Crum and husband Bruce of Centerville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

            In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Dean; and a sister, Cheryl Magee.

            Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville today (Thursday) from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and attend the funeral service there on Friday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Trevor Brubaker, pastor of the Faith Bible Church, officiating.

            Interment will be in Red Oak Cemetery.      

            As a memorial contribution, family and friends are invited to the Brad Nunemaker Spaghetti Dinner Benefit at the Centerville Fire Hall on Sunday, Sept. 16th from 1 to 5 PM.
