Condolences
When I lived in Pleasantville a highlight of going to the store or wherever was running into Mr. Ed. His whole aura changed any day into a good experience. His bright demeanor was infectious. I pray his passing was easy and hope his reward is great.
Our condolences to the family.
I am so sad to hear about Ed’s passing. I have fond memories of Ed and Anna Grace as well as Ed’s parents, Clyde and Helen. Pleasantville is a wonderful community that was made a better place by their presence. My deepest sympathy to the entire Waddell family.
I am working on the road but try to keep up with local events by reading the Herald on the Web.
I was sad to see that your father had passed.
I saw Bill a while ago and asked how he was and he told me he wasn't doing good.
While this was not unexpected it is still hard on those who were close to him.
As you know I worked with Ed at Cytemp and got to know him quite well.
When it came to work I would put my own father and yours in the same bracket.
Both were very hard workers and were good at what they did. The real common thing that I noticed between the two was that both Dad and Ed could work HARD all day and not get very dirty. I on the other hand looked like a Pig Pen shortly after starting.
Just a small observation from my memories.
I'm sure you all have many other good memories of him that will help keep you strong through this time

I was shocked and so sorry to read of the passing of Mr. Waddell. I lived for several years in Pleasantville and a great highlight was always running into Mr. Ed. His smile and bright countenance were always so infectious that you couldn't meet him in the morning and not have a great day. My deepest sympathies to those he left behind and I pray that his reward is great.

Venango County has lost an icon. I'm so very sorry for your loss, Phil, Ken, Bill, Amy and family. Ed was a special person with a heart of gold! He has always held a special place in my heart. I will always remember his smile... always had a twinkle in his eye and always there to help those in need. I heard of his passing yesterday and my heart just sank. May you feel peace and comfort from the Lord at this time, for Ed has gone home, and is reunited with your Mom.
