Obituary of Harriet E. Jackson

Mrs. Harriet E. Jackson, 95, of 125 Shamburg St., Pleasantville passed away at 8:07 AM on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at her residence.

            Mrs. Jackson was born on November 21, 1922, in Titusville to the late James and Irene Morority Stearns. She married Harold R. Jackson, Sr., on May 7, 1940, in Tionesta. Mr. Jackson preceded her in death on October 28, 2002.

            She was the former owner along with her husband of the Tidioute Chocolate Shop. She also worked at GTE Sylvania in Pleasantville, waitressed at Flossie’s Restaurant and several other restaurants during her working days.

            Mrs. Jackson attended the Pleasantville Presbyterian Church and ladies Bible study classes. She was a member of the Pleasantville Lioness and Pleasantville Senior Citizens.

            She enjoyed knitting and spending time with her family.

            Harriet is survived by her 2 children, Harold R. Jackson, Jr. and wife Dianne, Joanne Reib both of Pleasantville; 6 grandchildren, Edmund Reib and wife Kim of Erie, Scott Reib and wife Tami of Magnolia, TX, Brian Reib and wife Susan of Pleasantville, Lorrie Fritz and husband Timothy of Erie, Shannon Jackson of Pleasantville, Tina Heacox and husband Ross of         Summerville, SC; 8 great grandchildren, Ryan Reib, Kyle Reib, Justin Reib, Jordan Reib, Meredith Reib, Owen Reib, Seth Edwards, Brandon Seeley; several nieces and nephews; and caregivers, Barbara Jackson and Janice Allen of Pleasantville.

            She was preceded in death by a grandson, Todd Michael Jackson; and a sister, Elizabeth Ross.

            Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, PA 16354 on Thursday from 7 to 9 PM and on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at which time the funeral service will be conducted with Rev. Jamie Fowler, pastor of the Pleasantville Presbyterian Church, officiating.

            Interment will be in Neilltown Cemetery.
