Obituary of Willis Eugene Northrop

               Mr. Willis E. Northrop, 90, formerly of Titusville, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community in Meadville.

               He was born in Spartansburg on February 15, 1928 to the late Phillip and Mildred Goodwill Northrop.

               Willis married Joyce Squier on November 4, 1944 in New York.

               He was previously employed at Windy Hill Farms, and then owned and operated Northrop’s Dress Shop and an egg business.

               Willis enjoyed boating, water skiing, and also hunting.

               Willis is survived by his wife Joyce of Wesbury; three sons, Duane Northrop and wife Mary Lou of Lake City, Darwin Northrop of Jacksonville, FL, and Blaine Northrop of Las  Vegas, NV; two grandchildren, Julie Northrop of Jacksonville, FL, and Jason Northrop and wife Shawna of Girard; three great-grandchildren, Isabella, Melanie, and Chase Northrop; and a brother, Dennis Northrop and wife Laurie of Linesville.

               He was preceded in death by two brothers, Phillip and Gaylord Northrop.

               A celebration of life will be held on Saturday October 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Dutch Treat Restaurant in Spartanburg for all who wish to attend.

               Inurnment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Spartansburg.
