Obituary of Jonathan Randall

Jonathan Randall, 86, of Titusville, passed away Saturday afternoon November 10, 2018 at the Titusville Area Hospital.

            Jon was born on October 27, 1932 at Kingston, NY, a son of the late George and Florence Holloway Randall.  He was married to Charlotte Ericsson on June 8, 1957 at Lebanon, CT.

            Jon was a graduate of Norwich Free Acadamy in Norwich, CT, class of 1950.  He was a graduate of the University of Connecticut, class of 1954, and later, after serving in the US Army, returned there to earn his master’s degree in agriculture in 1957.

            Jon was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the US Army from 1954 to 1956 where he was stationed at Fulda, Germany.

            Jon had been employed by International Harvester Company from 1960 to 1968.  He then came to Titusville after purchasing Sanford Equipment which he operated until his retirement.

            Jon was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Titusville. 

            He and his wife were former members of Shindiggers Square Dancing.  He enjoyed flying and earned his private pilot’s license at the age of 62.

            Jon is survived by his wife of Titusville; three sons, Luke Randall and his wife Karen of Titusville, Eric Randall and his wife Luciana of Titusville, and Karl Randall and his wife Karin of Geneva, Switzerland; six grandchildren, Joshua Randall and wife Kayley of Venango, PA, Nathan Randall and wife Hannah of Atlanta, GA, Giovanna Hughes and husband Eric of Baden, PA, Peter Randall of Newton, NJ, Claudia Randall of Missoula, MT, and Markus Randall of Geneva, Switzerland;  two great grandchildren, Trevor Deane and Cooper Randall; two sisters-in-law, Louise “Teddy” Randall of Lebanon, CT and Louise Randall of Putnam, CT; a brother-in-law, David Fields of Lebanon, CT; and numerous nieces and nephews.

            In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, George, Paul, and David Randall; and two sisters, Marian Fields and Florence Kinerson.

            No public calling hours will be observed.  Friends may attend a memorial service on Saturday, November 17th at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church 302 W. Walnut St. Titusville with Rev. Lee Baker and Rev. Larry Reitz officiating.

Private interment will be in Kerr Hill Cemetery.

            The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Heaven’s Loving Hands Puppet Ministry c/o First United Methodist Church in Titusville.
