Obituary of Ernest A. Edwards

Mr. Ernest A. “Ernie” Edwards, 93, of Titusville passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018, at the Titusville Area Hospital.

            Mr. Edwards was born on July 8, 1925, in Titusville to the late Arvin and Opal (Miller) Edwards. He married Margaret A. (Kennedy) Edwards 61 years ago on May 11, 1957.

            Ernie was formerly employed by Trans Penn Wax for 36 years. He retired in 1987.

            He was a member of St. Titus Church and Knight of Columbus.

            Ernie enjoyed farming, squared dancing and spending time with his family.

            He is survived by his wife, Margaret Edwards of Titusville; daughter’s, Theresa Weaver and husband Charles of Erie, Mary Sellen and husband Rod of Meadville; a son, Robert Edwards and wife Ellen of Titusville; 7 grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas, Melissa, Amber, Miranda, Kayla and Zach; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

            Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Pier.

            Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, PA 16354 today (Monday) from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday in St. Titus Church at 10:00 AM with Fr. Walter E. Packard, as celebrant.

            Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
