Obituary of Carol A. Hughes

Mrs. Carol A. Hughes, 88, of Lake Worth, FL passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018, at her daughter and son-in-law’s home, Patricia and Jonathan Walker, of Titusville.

                Mrs. Hughes was born on April 15, 1930, in New York City to the late Ted and Miriam (Gross) Marks.

                Carol enjoyed bowling during her younger days, playing cards, living in Florida, and spending quality time with her children and grandchildren.

                She is survived by 3 children, Kevin (Patricia) Hughes of Travelers Rest, SC, Patricia (Dr. Jonathan) Walker of Titusville, Nancy (Robert) Thielmann of Somerset, NJ; 7 grandchildren, Christopher Hughes, Eric (Lindsay) Hughes both of Acworth, GA, Morgan Walker, Emily Walker both of Titusville, Rachael (Scott) Linkowski of Pittsburgh, Hannah Thielmann, Spencer (Emily) Thielmann both of Somerset, NJ; and a great-grandson, Slade Hughes.

                Mrs. Hughes was preceded in death by her husband Elwood J. Hughes II; a son, Elwood J. Hughes III and his wife Joan; and a brother, Donald Marks.

                No local services are being observed. Mrs. Hughes will be inurned next to her husband at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL.
