Obituary of Robert G. Decker

Robert G. Decker, 72, formerly of Titusville, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at UPMC Hamot in Erie.

            Bob was born on April 17, 1946 at Canton, OH, a son of the late Howard and Lenora Kope Decker.  He was formerly married to Sandra Kiehl Decker.

            He was a graduate of Meadville High School, class of 1964.  He had been employed at Baillie Lumber and Taylor Ramsey Corp. prior to his retirement.

            Bob had previously attended the Church of the Nazarene in Titusville.  He was a social member of the American Legion and VFW in Titusville.  He was also a member of the B.P.O. Elks No. 264, the former PNA Club, and of the Moose Club.  He enjoyed fishing, golfing, kayaking, and camping with his grandchildren.

            Bob is survived by his former wife Sandra of Titusville; the following children, Edward Lamb of Titusville, Robert Lamb and wife Amy of Waterloo, NY, Steven Lamb and companion Sandy Sopher of Titusville, Tammy Bryan and husband Dick of Oil City, and Jodi Cole and husband Bill of Pleasantville; grandchildren, Edward Lamb II, Kayli Wagner, Nick and Zack Lamb, Chloe Decker, Paige Atkins, Dylan, Devin and Dalton Cole; a great granddaughter, Kinlee Lamb; two brothers, James and Edward Lamb of Titusville; five sisters, Sue Bowles and husband Terry, Joyce Ralston and husband Floyd, and Amy VanCise, all of Titusville, Marjorie Decker of Indiana, Patty McDaniel and husband Steve of Derry; a brother-in-law, Dallas Reynolds of Titusville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

            In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel and Howard Decker; and a sister, Dolly Reynolds.

            Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Sunday from 2 to 4 PM.

            Private interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

            The family asks that memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
