Obituary of Sharon Lynn Proper
Mrs. Sharon Lynn Proper, 66, formerly of Titusville, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 1:35 AM at Sugar Creek Station in Franklin.
Sharon was born on April 10, 1952 in Franklin, to the late Delbert and Dorothy V. Ziegler Moon. She married Richard L. Proper on February 14, 1993. He preceded her in death on January 26, 2017.
She was a graduate of Franklin High School and Venango Technology Center with an LPN certification.
Sharon worked as an I.C.U. nurse in West Virginia, with Grandview Nursing Home, and most recently at Sugar Creek Station.
She enjoyed quilting, making afghans, and silk floral arrangements for weddings. She also liked watching the Hallmark Channel, especially at Christmas, and loved being with her family and friends.
Sharon is survived by her three children, Aril McDonald of Federalsburg, MD, Stephanie Webber and friend Paul of Oil City, Michael G. Luktisch and fiancé Meaghen Kennedy of Oil City; nine grandchildren, Jamie, Devin, Jorja, Dylan, Amorina, Austin, Haillee, Joelene, and Skyler; a great granddaughter, Ava; three brothers, Delbert Moon, Jr. and wife Melinda of Greenville, Gary Moon and wife Bonnie of Daytona, FL, Rodney Moon of Cooperstown; a sister, Linda Moon of Cooperstown; a brother-in-law, Clarence Proper, Jr. and wife Jan of Mt. Jewett; a sister-in-law, Hazel Proper of Saegertown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Ann Proper; and a brother-in-law, Ronnie Proper.
Family and friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc. 303 N. Washington St. on Monday from 4 to 6 PM at which time a funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Robin Sterling, of the Riceville Church of the Nazarene, officiating.
Inurnment will be at Union Cemetery.
