Obituary of Alice May Muir
Mrs. Alice May Muir, 96, formerly of Centerville passed away at 7:25 PM on Thursday, February 21, 2019, at the Titusville Healthcare and Rehab Center.
Mrs. Muir was born on April 27, 1922 in Centerville to the late David and Hazel Dey Fink. She married Arthur D. Muir on February 24, 1944 in KY. Mr. Muir preceded her in death on July 6, 2000.
She was formerly employed by Day’s Home Furniture, Titusville Area Hospital and the family potato farm.
Mrs. Muir was a member of the Titusville Wesleyan Methodist Church and former Fink Ridge Holiness Church.
She enjoyed flower gardening.
Mrs. Muir is survived by her sons, Howard Muir and wife Debbie, Ellis Muir both of Centerville; a granddaughter, Amy Happoldt and husband Erik of Titusville;3 great-granddaughters, Ava, Olivia, and Aubrey Happoldt; a brother, Bernard Fink and wife Elva of Oil City; a sister, Dorothy Rose of Titusville; a niece, Hazel Brown of Centerville; and a nephew, David Fink of Titusville.
She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Edward and Charles Fink; and a sister, Birdena Fink.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, PA 16354 on Monday from 6 to 8 PM. Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home on Tuesday at 1:00 PM with Rev. Chris Kempa pastor of the Evangelical Wesleyan Church and Rev. Robert Luther of the Wesleyan Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Covenanter Cemetery.
