Obituary of Gerald R. "Jerry" Emerson

Gerald R. “Jerry” Emerson, 51, of Titusville, passed away Wednesday morning March 6, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie.

            Jerry was born on September 9, 1967 at Dunkirk, NY, a son of Coralyn Hunt Emerson Hawthorne and the late Gerald R. Emerson.  He was married to Shannon Armstrong who survives.

            Jerry was a graduate of Corry High School, class of 1986.  He had been employed most recently at A & J Auto in Titusville.

            Jerry was a member of the Titusville Moose Club.  He enjoyed shooting pool, four wheeling, target shooting, going to dirt track races at Mercer, Erie, Tri-City, Stateline and Lernersville, and golfing.

            He enjoyed spending time with his family and having family get togethers. 

            Jerry is survived by his mother, Coralyn Hawthorne of Hydetown; his wife Shannon of Titusville; the following children; Greg Schneider of Centerville, Danielle Jones and husband Alan of Cassadaga, NY, Robert Emerson and fiancée Bryanna Burrows of Titusville, Kate Huffman of Corry, Karly Brickner of Oil City, Marisa Brickner of Titusville, and Lindsay Vaughn and husband Marcus of Titusville; and numerous grandchildren.

            Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville, PA on Friday from noon to 3:00 PM at which time the funeral service will be conducted with Rev. Douglas Cole officiating.

            Interment will be in Mayville Cemetery, Mayville, NY.
