Obituary of Rebecca M. Baron
Rebecca M. Baron, 75, formerly of Titusville, passed away Thursday evening, March 14, 2019, at Sunrise of Upper St. Clair following an extended illness.
Becky was born on May 10, 1943 at Braddock, PA, a daughter of the late C. Earl Stewart and Maysel Palmer Stewart. She was married to Paul F. Baron on September 3, 1963 at Elizabeth City, NC. He preceded her in death on October 24, 2000. She later married Richard Dye on February 21, 2005.
Becky was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1961. She was a 1967 graduate of New Penn Beauty School in Warren, PA. Becky and her first husband Paul were owners of Rebecca’s Beauty Salon in Titusville from 1967 until her retirement in December of 2000.
Becky was a member of the former St. Paul’s United Church of Christ; a member of the Titusville YWCA; and a member of the National Mah Jongg League.
She is survived by her husband of Zolfo, FL; a daughter, Kelly Remlinger and husband Regis of Eighty Four, PA; a son, Frank Baron of Alpine, WY; three step sons, Tim Dye, David Dye, and Matt Dye; a granddaughter, Kayla Marie Quinn; step-grandchildren, Joshua Remlinger and Chelsea Jewett; two brothers, Richard E. Stewart and wife Sonya of Albertsville, AL and Ronald D. Stewart and wife Donna of Titusville.
In addition to her parents and husband Paul, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert O. Stewart; and step-grandson, Victor Remlinger.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and attend the funeral service there on Tuesday at 9:30 AM with Rev. William Hopkins, officiating.
Interment will be in Jamison Corners Cemetery.
