Obituary of Larry H. White I
Mr. Larry H. White, Sr. of Grand Valley passed away at 4:10 PM on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born on January 19, 1946 in Titusville, a son of the late Harold and Emma Frost White. He married the former Mary Frances Baney on April 20, 1963.
Larry was employed at several different area businesses. In 1969, he joined the International Iron Workers Association. He belonged to Local 348 of Erie and later with local 207 of Youngstown, OH. He retired following and injury sustained while working in 1990.
He loved being with family especially his grandchildren, sitting on his front porch watching the wild life, playing on his computer, and riding his tractor.
Larry is survived by his wife Mary Frances White of Grand Valley; four children, Ronda Brink and husband Dennis of Reynolds, Laura Nester and husband Monte of Grand Valley, Larry H. White II of Edinboro, Shandin McKlveen and husband Kevin of Grand Valley; nine grandchildren, Dennis, Jonathan, Damien, Ian, Nash, Lexi, Lilly, Destiny and Viva; one great grandson, Cohen; six step-great grandchildren, Alexxzander, Kaileigh-Ann, Dakotah, Katlyn, Kelsey and Leah; two sisters, Judy Smith and husband Harold of Warren, Saundra Ishman of Spring Creek; one brother, Rodney James of Madison, OH; mother-in-law, Marian Baney of Titusville; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friends, Arthur and Gloria Rowland of Meadville, Charles and Bev Allen of Grand Valley, Gale and Brenda Ruth of Neilltown.
Mr. White was preceded in death by his daughter, Stacy Marie White; biological mother, Agnes Allen James; a brother, James Sharp; a grandson, Neil Nester; and father-in-law, Edward Baney.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home today (Friday) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 AM with Pastor George Ruth, officiating.
Interment will be in the Excelsior Corners Cemetery.
