Obituary of Richard R. Edwards
Richard R. “Rich” Edwards, 69, of 39920 Gilson St. Centerville, died Tuesday morning May 17, 2011 at his residence following an extended illness.
Rich was born on June 25, 1941 at Goshen, NY, a son of the late Alfred and Ann Marsh Edwards. He was married to the former Nancy J. Burrows on Oct. 25, 1980 in Oil City who survives.
Rich enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors especially under his favorite apple tree. In his earlier years, he enjoyed riding motorcycles and collecting Coca Cola memorabilia.
He is survived by his wife of Centerville; three sons, William “Billy” Edwards and Richard R. Edwards, both of Niagara Falls, NY and Richard Johnson Edwards of Titusville; two step-sons, William “Bill” Copley and wife Janet, and Steve Copley and wife Mary-Rita, both of Oil City; three daughters, Millie Uscianowski and husband John of Youngstown, OH, Jamie Streczywilk and husband Todd of Oil City, and Nancy Arroyo and husband Guario of Franklin; three step-daughters, Kim Copley-Harris and husband Gene of Cooperstown, Brenda Stevenson and husband Ike of Oil City, and Tammy Watson and husband Tim of Titusville; two brothers, Danny Edwards and wife Sharon, and Bernie Edwards, all of Niagara Falls, NY; and numerous grandchildren including Cody, Brenna, Ondrea, and Isabell Streczywilk, Logan Arroyo, Josh Gamble, Justin Zuck, Vince, Sidney and Kyle Uscianowski, Samantha, Danielle, Megan, and Lindsay Watson; and numerous great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Jeff and Cory Johnson; and a brother, Alfred Edwards.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
No funeral service will be conducted. Interment will be private.
