Condolences
I was so sorry to hear of my Academy classmate's passing. I just received the notice from Dan Fiscus an hour ago on the PSP Retiree's page. Unfortunitely too late for me to travel from Irwin to Titusville. Bobby and I were classmates in the PSP Academy in Hershey. We both were assigned to Greensburg Troop 'A' and from there to the Parkway in Pittsburgh. I was transferred to Uniontown and I lost track of him. I have asked several former classmates what happened to him but without success. We were great friends and used to drive Cpl Cernick njts with the like names until he started calling s ' Ma and Me'.
So sorry for your loss and we will meet again, I am sure.
Bob Mertz PSP (Ret)
Bob & I went thru school together graduating in the same class of 1961. I fondly remember him mostly by his smile & easy disposition. Had it not been for him administrating the drivers license exam after I moved back to Titusville I don't think I'd ever gotten my license. He had a very keen sense of humor. I am so sorry for your loss. He will be missed by all who knew him I'm sure. With deepest regrets, Nancy Savard Briggs Salida, CO
I first met Bob when he was a driver for TransPenn Wax. Later, he and I both worked together driving for Pennzoil. We became best of friends. We went to car shows and car drag racing events together. Our last public event spent together was at Church, listening to the Glory Way Quartet. Bob had invited us to go. There is no doubt, that Bob went to Heaven. I will miss him dearly. To the Family and Sherry, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Mark & Carol
I worked with Bob at Pennzoil. Bob was always fun to be around. I certainly enjoyed working with him & miss those days. Sorry for your loss to his family.
