Obituary of Howard A. Gigone
Howard A. Gigone, 83, of 226 E. Mt. Vernon St. Titusville, died Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Titusville.
Howard was born on November 21, 1927 in Titusville, a son of the late Alex and Emma Brown Gigone.
He was a graduate of Colestock High School, class of 1948. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts having served in the US Army.
Following his discharge from the service, Howard was employed at the former National Forge in Titusville for three years. He was last employed at Queen Cutlery from 1977 until his retirement in 1993.
Howard had attended the Titusville Wesleyan Methodist Church and was a member of the Bruce Shorts Post No. 5958 VFW.
Howard is survived by three nieces, Theresa McQuilkin of Duluth, GA, Emily Gigone of Hydetown, and Tina Beezub of Union City; two nephews, Henry Gigone of Los Angeles, CA and Timmy Gigone of Albion.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his four brothers, Richard, Arthur, Joseph, and Henry Gigone.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home today from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at which time the funeral service will be conducted with Rev. Daniel Hardy, pastor of the Titusville Wesleyan Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Titusville Wesleyan Methodist Church 102 E. Spruce St. Titusville, PA 16354.
