Obituary of Robert "Bob" Bossard
Robert B. “Bob” Bossard, 88, of Titusville, formerly of Townville, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the Meadville Medical Center.
Bob was born on June 26, 1931 in Saegertown, PA, a son of the late Archie and Lucile Heskett Bossard. He was married to Shirley White on March 31, 1956 in Titusville.
Bob was a graduate of Townville High School, class of 1949. He was a veteran having served in the US Army in the states and also in Germany until his honorable discharge on Oct. 14, 1960 with the rank of corporal.
Bob had been employed at the former Universal Cyclops Specialty Steel Corp. and AK Steel in Titusville for 38 years until his retirement. He had also served as vice president of the Cyclops Credit Union for several years.
Bob enjoyed the outdoors; hunting and fishing at home and in Canada with his father. He enjoyed golfing and was a big horse show Dad. Following retirement, he spent 20 years wintering at Ruskin, FL with his wife Shirley.
Bob is survived by his wife of Titusville; two children, Julie Storms of Saegertown and Gregg Bossard of Titusville; a granddaughter, Jessica Richardson and husband Trent of Holly Springs, NC; two great grandsons, Ryder and Lucas Richardson; a brother, Sam Bossard of Townville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry and Kenneth Bossard.
No public calling hours will be observed. Services will be private.
