Matt was my varsity football team bus driver and I will remember always his professionalism, skill and most of all speed.
Matt saw speed limit signs as things for the tourist. He was a person that I and the entire football team knew we could count on!
He told me he drove on the "Red Ball Express" during the war and I am firmly convinced he never stopped driving on it.
Matt and I would talk after mass, he was so proud of his family and how he missed his wife.
I have missed those talks and watching him puff up with pride.
