Obituary of David Wayne Vroman
David Wayne “Rusty” Vroman, 58, of 1045 Trout Run Rd. Titusville, died Friday morning July 1, 2011 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Erie.
David was born on November 23, 1952 in Titusville, a son of Ethyl M. “Sue” Vroman and the late Robert L. “Rusty” Vroman. He was formerly married to Rhonda Jameson.
He attended Titusville High School. He was a veteran having served in the US Marine Corp. during the Vietnam Conflict. He enlisted in the Marines on February 9, 1971 at Pittsburgh, PA and was honorably discharged on January 25, 1977 with the rank of Lance Corporal.
David had been employed as a logger with numerous logging firms throughout Pennsylvania and surrounding states.
He was an avid sportsman who loved hunting, fishing, nature and all things of the great outdoors. His many hilarious stories, “critter encounters”, even included having to coax a turkey off of his warm chainsaw on a cold Pennsylvania morning in the woods.
He was a great musician, singer and story teller who loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather and friend to many.
He is survived by his mother of Titusville; a son, Sgt. David Jameson Vroman and his wife Rochelle, stationed with the US Army at Ft. Campbell, KY; grandsons, Jameson, Jaden and Davyn Vroman; the following brothers and sisters, Robert Bob “BJ” Vroman, Susan Ruot and husband Randy, Carol Pipher, Tim Vroman, Trish Anthony and husband Phil, and Connie Ackerman and husband Dan, all of Titusville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Patrick Allen Vroman.
No public calling hours will be observed. A private memorial service will be conducted for the family.
