Condolences
To the family, you have my sincere condolences.
My parents rented our tire shop's warehouse from Phyllis back in the 70's/80's. She was always such a professional and classy lady. When I moved to Allegheny Twp., my wife got to know her. She will be missed by many.
Dear Carole , Joan & Jane,
I was saddened to hear of your mother’s passing. I always enjoyed her company, she had such a quick wit & always made me laugh. I also enjoyed the stories of our parents & their trips to Bermuda & Florida together with the golfing foursome . What wonderful times they all had !

Phyllis & I worked together at Stephen's Real Estate & I adored her! She was a teacher, confidante and friend. We spent hours talking and sharing, I was always happy when I came back to Titusville and would see her, it was usually at Coal Oil Johnny's with my parents. I can close my eyes and hear her laugh, what a wonder woman.
Prayers to her family, she is in a better place.
Dear Carol, Joan, and Jane, Please accept my deepest sympathy on the death of your mother. As one of the Walnut St. kids, I remember her so well. My favorite and strongest memory was of the brunch she held in your dining room on the morning of the funeral of our mother. It was such a wonderful act of kindness that I've never forgotten it. All of us East Walnut St. kids had a wonderful childhood and your mom was one of the moms on the street that included Mrs. Graham, Mrs. Jeschke, our mom Lois Butler, and Norma Newson who made it that way. You have my deepest sympathy, but I know you each have wonderful memories, as do I.
Sincerely,
Mary Ann (Butler) Caton

Carol, Joan, and Jane. I’m sorry to learn of your mother’s passing. She was always a very nice lady. Always with a smile. She’s in a better place now with her Lord and your dad. You’re in my prayers.
Mrs. Dunn was one of the most important people in my life. I am very grateful to have known her and her family. I am saddened by this loss.
My regards to her family! I wish I could visit her family and share some Walnut street memories.
Respectfully, Randy Newson
As one of her grandchildren, I was one of the lucky kids that spent holidays with Gram as our matriarch bringing all her children and their children together each Thanksgiving and Christmas. All dressed up eating turkey dinner - Gram always made creamed corn and broccoli with crumbled Ritz crackers. I actually ate a lot of broccoli those days! It was always a big affair! Gram brought wonderful gifts and made sure to send cards for all birthdays and other holidays. I know without a doubt we were very loved grandkids who were lucky to see their grandma often. We raided the antique toys in the basement (I still remember exactly the scent of her house in Pleasantville), hiked the woods of her secluded home, and crept past the one bedroom where all the dolls with lifelike eyes were displayed. I spent one sleepless night in that room as a teenager... I will miss her very much, but I have endless fond memories to look back on.
Your Mother was a wonderful woman. I have many fond memories of her and your family when you were all on Walnut Street. it was sad to read that she has passed away. Your family is in my prayers. God Bless you all!
What can a person say regarding such a beautiful lady as Phyllis. She was such a wonderful, caring person in her life before illness. That disease steals all the great personality from our loved ones. Not easy for the patient, nor the families and friends to witness. Phyllis and I had many wonderful visits, either at Thompson's Drug Store for lunch or during my working years for the Titusville Alumni Association. Her class was always inviting me to attend their banquets to speak on the association, and I obliged as they were wonderful people. In MY younger years, I went to Dunn Stationery with my mother to by school supplies when I attended St. Titus Elementary. We were obligated to have specific notebooks, writing paper and of course, #2 pencils and Dunn's always had the supplies needed. Your mother was so gracious to everyone she met. (A little remembrance -- my uncle Bob Lamenskie was employed by Dunn Stationery during his years of high school. RIP since 1969 at the age of 49.) A beautiful picture of the Phyllis we all knew with the obituary. God be with you and the family. Lots of great memories to share forever.
