Obituary of Thomas E Rogers
Mr. Thomas Emory Rogers was born on February 12, 1932 in Anguilla, West Indies to the late Hope and Juliette Webster Rogers. He married Althea Corinna Sebastian in St. Christopher, on March 26, 1955 in the British Colony of St. Christopher-Nevis-Anguilla.
He was a graduate of the University of the West Indies in Jamaica and had a long and successful career as a licensed Medical Technologist and Pharmacist.
Thomas worked as a pharmacist and medical technologist at hospitals in St. Kitts, St. Thomas, Antigua, and West Chester County, NY until his retirement. He then worked for the Arch Diocese of New York in Manhattan for several years. He was a member and employee of the Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in New York.
Being born on the tropical paradise of Anguilla, Thomas enjoyed time spent at the beach and on the ocean. His favorite pastimes included: swimming, fishing, cooking, playing the game of drafts, and discussing politics. Most importantly, he loved winning impromptu debates. He loved his family, especially his wife, his children, and grandchildren. He had a kind and extremely generous heart, and gave regardless of cost, including that beyond his means. His unyielding generosity, manifested through God, was four children in their own respect and grandchildren in their own respect - a tribute to his kindness and selflessness.
