Condolences
My sympathy to the Smithers family on the death of your father and your mother as well in 2012.
I remember the family well when you lived on Chestnut Street and it was a great neighborhood to grow up in. Harold aka "Barney" named after the famous race car driver Barney Olfied (sp?). I recall the story of Harold in a baby carriage and went down the steps and thus came the name Barney.
I was speaking to a friend recently at our church and learned that she was a friend of Dale's and had worked with him - Chris Gallaher.
I live in Hummelstown, PA and get to Titusville a couple times a year.
Take care and again, my sympathies to all of you.

Milton and Shirley, Sorry to read about Harold’s death. My Uncle Homer Reed and my parents Harold and Grace Metcalf were friends of your family. May he RIP now.

I was very sorry to see that your dad had died. I didn't realize your mom had died before. I just remember they seemed like really nice people and your mom was always smiling. It has literally been a lifetime since we hung out in your room listening to Zappa & Firesign Theater.
I am still a hard core Zappa fan & just bought the Halloween Concerts collection & waiting to see the new documentary. I am in FL for the winter or I would try and see you at the funeral. Both my parents have died & it was hard. I moved into their house for the last 6 weeks of my mom's life to take care of her & brought dad to my house for the last month of his life.
I have been trying to find old photos of us and our band but I think my dad burned all of my photos where I had long hair :-) It would be great to see everyone sometime. Of course Warren Carlson is gone but Spence, Baumgarten and Schessler are still above ground. I hope you are well, happy and enjoying life.

My husband Dan and I had the opportunity to met Harold several years ago. He was such a kind, sweet gentle man. I remember him and his dog Noah!!! His children were blessed to have him as their father.
Dick and Sam Ridgway send our deepest sympathies.
I am sure going to miss him Uncle Harry. I will never forget his smile and his kind eyes. I remember at Nicki's wedding him and I sang Garth Brooks "Low Places" so loud until we busted out laughing!
The family of Harold A. Smithers, JR.,
We are so very sorry to hear of Harold's passing! We always enjoyed our many chat's when we was home in Titusville visiting family! He always made it a point to come give me a hug and say "Hello". He is in a lot of good company and old friends up there, and I can just imagine the conversations going on. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers, and we are sending our Deepest Condolences!

So sorry for your loss. He was a nice man.
So sorry for your loss. We've known Harold for many years and had a lot of good times with him at the VFW. Many laughs and many beers. Even though we now live in Texas, Harold has crossed our minds often. We loved him and he'll be missed. RIP, Harold and behave up there!
Jim,
So sorry for your dads death. He is now with no pain or sadness. It is very hard to lose a parent. You and your family is in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless
