I am so sorry to hear of Dick’s passing. He was such a wonderfully forthright person and always a delight to work with in various transactions. He, along with you, Joan, we’re an inspiration to me spiritually. I’ve often thought about you both after Dick’s retirement. Will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
So sorry ..what a great guy .we will miss you .iam forever honored to have known you ..sorry for your loss dick's family
I had the pleasure of getting to know Dick thru our regional planning commission days & thoroughly enjoyed working with him. His commitment to community was clear & he worked hard to provide dedicated service to all. Deepest sympathy to his family in their loss - he will be missed.
So very sad to hear of Dick’s passing, he and Joan were the best of neighbors. When Kathy came along she added a lot to the neighborhood as most children had long moved away and having life return to Maxwell was a welcome addition. Maxwell Drive was never quite the same after the big move to the country where I recall his tales of landscaping and maintenance being things he enjoyed. I don’t think there was anything Dick couldn’t fix or at least give a good assessment of what was wrong. Both my parents especially my father was very appreciative of his and Joan’s kindness. I always regarded Mr. Lauffer as my adopted grandfather, as he was right next to Dick and Joan’s home and frequently visited him and his four legged friends. I cannot begin to express how much the community will miss his spirit of volunteerism and commitment to helping others, a true example of what the Golden Rule” should be in all of us. Mark
Dear Joan and Family,
I am very sorry to learn of Dick's death. He was one fine man. I remember him well when he lived across the alley from my Uncle Paul on Monroe Street. I often saw you drive by my house in Mageetown and I think that the last time that I saw you and Dick was at the leek dinner at Spring Creek.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Sincere sympathy, Jim Murphy and Karen Gardiner
Dear Joan and family, so sorry to read of Dick's passing. May the Lord Jesus comfort you as you mourn your temporary separation. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. With sympathy, Nick Duliakas
Joan. I’m very sorry to learn of Dick’s passing. He’s at peace in a better place. It’s been quite a whiles once I’ve seen you. Hope you’re well. Steve
Joan, Kathy and Family,
It was a PLEASURE to know Richard -- we had a great working relationship during his years with the school district and after retirement. I can't look back that I did not make the trips to the house that wished to make. With all things going on, all I could do was pray for all of you.
Joan, you certainly carried your marriage vows to the 'enth' degree. I would love it when our cars passed during your everyday tours of town. It made me smile to see the love you shared, even though the burden was heavy at times.
Lots of great memories -- he thoroughly enjoyed being a member of the Titusville Alumni Association and had a 'grand' time at the all the social events sponsored by the association, most importantly the All Class Reunion/Celebrations. Great memories every time!
And also, the memories of when Vi moved to SouthWoods. He and I would share notes on our residents there.
Richard showed so much love with so many -- everyone he met, was not a stranger.
I will continue to pray for you, Joan and the family.
RIP my good friend - RICHARD. You showed everyone that you were a warrior against your difficulties that changed your life forever.
Much love with prayers and hugs,
Margaret aka Maggie
