I will always remember Uncle Jerry as the maker of fudge! My first memory of Uncle Jerry was when I was 7 years old. We had come up to PA for a big family get-together at Troy Center. Jerry had a plate of fudge and I was just a small, quiet, shy kid in amongst about 100 people I barely knew. I wanted some fudge but was afraid to go up and grab a piece. But my love of chocolate overcame my intimidation, and up I crept towards him and snatched a piece of fudge off the plate. I was surprised and elated that no one yelled at me! Mom's folks are the best. I wish we could have lived closer and spent more time with all of you.
