Obituary of Margaret Miles Graham
Mrs. Margaret Miles Graham, 92, of 1753 Cherrytree Rd. Titusville, died Thursday, September 1, 2011 at her residence.Mrs. Graham was born on September 21, 1918 at Cherrytree Twp., Venango County, a daughter of the late Harry and Cora Belle Breed Miles. She was married to Richard R. Graham on June 24, 1940 at Winchester, VA. He preceded her in death on March 11, 2008.
Mrs. Graham was a graduate of the Titusville High School, class of 1936. She had been employed for several years at Fisher and Young in Titusville and Quaker State in Oil City.
She was a member of the Breedtown Baptist Church where she served as pianist, Sunday school teacher, youth fellowship leader, and was involved with many church activities.
She had been an active member of the Cherrytree Grange and was involved with the Cherrytree Township Election Board for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading, camping, hiking, and traveling.
She had been honored by Relay For Life for being a long term cancer survivor. She had a special card and letter ministry for those who were sick or celebrating birthdays and other events.
Mrs. Graham is survived by three children; George Graham and his wife Pamela of Williamsfield, OH, Sarah Graham of Titusville, and Diana Graham and her husband Ken Oliver of Lexington, KY; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Miles, and an infant brother George Miles.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home today (Saturday) from 7 to 9 PM and attend the funeral service on Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Breedtown Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Rudolph G. Babcock, pastor, and Pastor Gary Kinnear, officiating.
Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Cherrytree Twp.
The family asks that memorials be made to the Breedtown Baptist Church or to Hospice of Crawford County 310 N. Monroe St. Titusville, PA 16354.
