Obituary of Carol F. Bean

Mrs. Carol F. Bean, 69, of 12094 State Highway 8 Titusville, died unexpectedly Monday evening September 5, 2011 at her residence. Mrs. Bean was born on February 16, 1942 in Titusville, a daughter of Joseph Fadden and the late Shirley Rehberg Fadden. She was married to Lester E. “Les” Bean on Nov. 26, 1960 at St. Titus Church in Titusville. He preceded her in death on March 13, 2008. Mrs. Bean was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy, class of 1960. She had been employed for over 17 years at the former Sears stores in both Titusville and Meadville. She had also been employed at the Market Place in Cochranton. Mrs. Bean was a member of St. Titus Church. She enjoyed playing cards with the Girls Card Club; was a member of Curves; a former member of the Ladies Bowling League at Lin Van Lanes; and a volunteer at the Hydetown Volunteer Fire Department. She had operated the Trading Post and kitchen at Custaloga Town Scout Reservation at Carlton, PA. She enjoyed camping, boating, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and friends. She is survived by her father of Titusville; five children, David A. Bean and wife Irma of Meadville, Lori Ann Master and husband Michael of Franklin, Michelene K. Tarr and husband Matthew of Titusville, Mark A. Bean and wife Suzette of Stowe, OH, and Todd A. Bean and wife Shelli of Erie; 11 grandchildren, Arian and Brando Jones, Cienna “Chili” Bean, Linleigh, Branden, and Garett Master, Dakota,Hunter, Kiran, Ian, and Connor Bean; a brother, Joseph Fadden and wife Mary of Pleasantville; an aunt, Irmagard Fadden of Titusville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville today (Thursday) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A vigil service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 2:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 AM at St. Titus Church with Fr. Walter E. Packard, pastor of the Titusville Catholic community, as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Catharines Cemetery. The family asks that memorials be made to the Crawford County and Venango County Humane Societies.
