Obituary of Scott A. Olmstead
Scott A. Olmstead, 59, of Centerville, passed away Wednesday evening March 2, 2022 at UPMC Hamot in Erie.
Scott was born on June 15, 1962 in Union City, a son of the late Robert and Dorothy Vangel Olmstead. He was preceded in death by his wife, Tina M. Kuberry on Dec. 30, 1993.
Scott was a veteran having served in the US Army.
He was owner of S & S Timber, and had previously owned the Broken Spoke Bar and Hotel in Union City.
Scott was a former member of the VFW in Union City. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, woodworking, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children, Richard Rodgers and wife Melissa of Pleasantville, Nicholas Olmstead of Centerville, and Jade Olmstead and fiancée Travis Christley of Slippery Rock; four grandchildren; two brothers, David “Bud” Olmstead and wife Sue of Union City and Robert Olmstead and wife Judy of Louisburg, NC; a sister, Linda Sturrock and husband Gary of Corry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Scott was preceded in death by a brother, Rick Olmstead and a sister, Gloria Olmstead.
No public calling hours will be observed.
Private interment will be in Union Cemetery.
