My favorite memory of Sandy was in 1995? She was at the Hillcrest Dallas location before Presbyterian Hospital opened the eating disorder treatment. At the Hillcrest location she took us to a local mall for a field trip that required us to eat lunch in a public area. She drove the Volkswagen van and when I saw this I just burst out laughing. Can you imagine taking a group of four women with mental health addiction issues on a field trip in a Volkswagen Van! This reminded me of the movie “The Dream Team” and I just started singing “Hit the Road Jack”!! Sandy was my guardian angel when I needed one.
