Obituary of Kevin M. Lapek
Mr. Kevin M. Lapek, 49, of 23700 Eisentrout Dr. Union City, PA, died unexpectedly Sunday evening October 16, 2011 at his residence.
Kevin was born on Aug. 13, 1962 at Oil City, PA, a son of the late Frederick J. and Margaret Beauchat Lapek.
Kevin was a graduate of Oil City High School, class of 1981. He had been employed for over 30 years at Colonial Machine in Pleasantville.
Kevin was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church at Canadohta Lake, PA. He was a member of the NRA and of the Antique Outboard Motor Club. He enjoyed fishing, boat racing, working on motors, and target shooting. He enjoyed his pet dog “Bosco”.
Kevin is survived by two children, Brandan Lapek and his companion Jennifer Hardwick of Thornton, CO, and Natosha Miklovic and her husband Daniel of Jacksonville, NC; three brothers, Frederick J. Lapek, Jr. of Oil City, John D. Lapek, Sr. and wife Donna of Erie, and Stanley E. Lapek and wife Pamela of Beaver Falls, PA; a brother-in-law, James E. Smail and his wife Karen of Gray, TN; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Annette Smail.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville, PA today (Wednesday) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and attend the funeral service there on Thursday at 10:30 AM with Fr. John Detisch, officiating.
Interment will be in St. Catharines Cemetery in Titusville.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Crawford County 310 N. Monroe St. Titusville, PA 16354.
