Obituary of Richard J. Heeter
Richard J. “Jim” Heeter, Jr., 65, of 101 Darr St. Oil City, PA, died Thursday morning October 20, 2011 at UPMC Northwest. Jim was born on January 27, 1946 at Titusville, PA, a son of Martha Bloom Heeter and the late Richard J. Heeter.
Jim was a graduate of Titusville High School. He had been employed as an electrician with the local union for 39 years. He had been retired for the past 4 years.
He was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Titusville. He enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, collecting antique fishing lures and antique toy trucks. He was a NASCAR fan and was active with local stock car racing.
Jim enjoyed spending time on his computer and especially enjoyed his pet cat “Angie”.
He is survived by his mother of Centerville; a sister, Deborah Heeter Neish of Greensburg, PA; a nephew, Zachery Neish and niece Abigail Neish, both of Greensburg, PA; and two cousins, Patti Paden and husband Cid of Titusville and Judy Brothis and husband John of Wyoming.
No public calling hours will be observed. Friends may attend a memorial service which will be announced at a later date.
Private interment will be in Zion Union Cemetery.
The family asks that memorials may be made to UPMC Northwest Cancer Center, or to any chapter of the American Heart Association.
