Obituary of Edward G. Dobosh
Mr. Edward G. Dobosh, 95, of 315 Jefferson St. Oil City, died Friday
June 4, 2010 at the Golden Living Center in Oil City.
Mr. Dobosh was born on August 17, 1914 at Chardon, OH, a son of the late George and Mary Elizabeth Voychuck Dobosh. He was very proud to have been married to Viola Foote Dobosh for over 70 years. They were married Feb. 28, 1940 in Pittsburgh. She recently preceded him in death on April 29, 2010.
Mr. Dobosh was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1933. He had been employed as manager of Pennshire Clothes in Oil City for over 20 years. He was also previously employed at the former Bond’s Clothing Store in Titusville.
Mr. Dobosh was a life member of the Titusville Lodge of the IOOF. He enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening and traveling.
Mr. Dobosh is survived by three children, Edward G. Dobosh, Jr. of Oil City, Mary Ann Dobosh of Round Rock, TX, and Michelle Hazlett and husband Robert of Polk; four grandchildren, Seth and Ian Dobosh, Ashley Hazlett, and Tina Byrd and her husband Rickard; two great grandchildren, Eliza and Giana Byrd; and a nephew, Michael Dobosh of Nevada.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Emery Dobosh and two sisters, Margaret Rose and Lily Wright.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at which time the funeral service will be conducted with Rev. Mark Rusnak of Asera Care Hospice, officiating.
Interment will be in Curry Cemetery in Titusville.
