Obituary of Robert C. Mangel
Mr. Robert C. Mangel, 77, of 148 Third St., Pleasantville died at 6:50 AM on Wednesday, April 04, 2012 at Wesbury United Methodist Community in Meadville.
Mr. Mangel was born on Feb. 13, 1935 at Pleasantville to the late Bert L. and Wealthea Howell Mangel. He married Mary A. “Ginger” Griffin on April 28, 1956 in Plumer.
He was a graduate of Pleasantville High School, class of 1953.
Mr. Mangel was employed for 49 years with Grand Valley Manufacturing as a quality control manager until his retirement on September 29, 2008.
He was a member of the Pleasantville United Methodist Church. He also loved spending time with his family.
Mr. Mangel is survived by his wife Mary “Ginger” Mangel of Pleasantville; two sons, Bruce E. Mangel and wife Anne of Mercer, Brian E. Mangel and wife Ramona of Titusville; a daughter, Cynthia Jean Cole and husband Ron of Titusville; five grandchildren, Susan Sherwood and husband John of Union City, Michael Mangel and wife Lane of Erie, Jenna Cole of Portland, OR, Kristin Rakoczy and husband Robert of Pleasantville, Adam Cole of Titusville; three great-grandchildren, Austin Sherwood, Landon Sherwood, Kayla Mangel; four brothers, Richard Mangel of Pleasantville, James Mangel and wife Joan of Titusville, Charles Mangel of Erie, Donald Mangel of Union City; one sister, Diane Harmon and husband Richard of Pleasantville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral services will be conducted from the Pleasantville United Methodist Church on Saturday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Donald Russell, officiating.
Interment will be in Jerusalem Corners Cemetery.
