Obituary of Raymond Feely

Mr. Raymond L. “Butch” Feely, 63, of 1002 Tarr Rd., Titusville died at 2:58 AM on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie. Mr. Feely was born on March 24, 1946 in Corry to the late Jack and Dorothy Vogus Feely. He was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1965 and served in the US Army before being honorably discharged with the rank of Private. Mr. Feely was formerly employed as a truck driver for a salvage yard prior to his illness. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He raced stock cars at Tri City Speedway for 4 years and was an enthusiastic fan for 20 years. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching John Wayne movies. Mr. Feely is survived by his wife Penny Malone Feely whom he married on November 20, 1995 in Pleasantville; four children, Tina Rimpa and her husband Martin of Waterford, Scott Feely and his wife Lori of Oakdale, Jason Feely of Pleasantville, Cory Feely of Titusville; six grandchildren, Alexis Rimpa, Gabrielle Rimpa, Jack Rimpa, Tanner Feely, Oscar Feely, Taylor Speer; one brother, Donald Feely and his companion Michelle Huff of Titusville; one sister, Jean McClintock of Titusville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, James Feely, and Jack and Robert Feely who died in infancy. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and attend the funeral service from the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Cherrytree Cemetery.
